Top 5 V-Day Spots in Cape Town 2017

Cape Town has some of the most exquisite views that mother earth has to offer. We, therefore, have selected five of the best Valentine's Day dinner venues with romantic and world class views. We're all about the food though. You'll have to make a reservation to see the views for yourselves.


1.The Roundhouse, Camps Bay



Built by the Dutch East India Company as a guardhouse in 1786, the restaurant is rich with history including its very own love story. Chef Dylan Laity offers contemporary dishes which combine European cuisine with distinct South African flavour. 2.   La Mouette, Sea Point 


The beautiful, old building was once the family home to the mayor of Cape Town. Now owned by Chef Henry Vigar and his wife Mari who turned it into a restaurant. Henry has experience working at top-ranked UK Michelin establishments, post his experience in France and Australia. Chef Henry and head Chef Andre Hill take pride in offering the best of local, seasonal produce and thus the menue is currently tailored to summer cuisine.



3.   La Colombe, Silvermist Wine Estate, Constantia Nek 


Ranked 76th best restaurant in the world, 2016. Chef Proprietor Scot Kirton has worked at Savoy Grill in London (one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants) and was voted 2015 Eat Out San Pellegrino Chef of the Year.  Head Chef James Gaag plates dishes that are always Instagram worthy.



4.   Myoga, Vineyard Hotel, Newlands


Myoga meaning Ginger Blossom in Japanese. Award winning Chef Mike Basset takes pride in his passion for cooking and only allows the best quality ingredients enter the kitchen. The menu is flexible in order to suit the individual desires of each diner. 


5.   Camissa Brasserie, The Table Bay Hotel, V&A Waterfront 


Overlooking the harbour and Table Mountain the restaurant is named after the ancient Khoi name for the Cape, meaning “The Place of Sweet Waters,”. The Executive Chef, Jocelyn Myers-Adams links the city’s cultural heritage and diverse cuisine with a feast of flavours.
